Originally from West London but these days based in Melbourne, Neil Simpson is a Human Centered Design Specialist who mostly works as an Innovation consultant, researcher, service designer, coach, and mentor.

In a career spanning nearly three decades, he has built his knowledge base working on well over 150 products and services in Europe and Australia, covering a diverse cross-section of industries.

Neil is passionate about generating innovative ideas that create better human experiences, to make the world an easier place to live. He helps organisations identify new opportunities for products and services by researching and validating idea hunches, as well as advocating human-centered design within businesses.

He has worked for leading advertising agencies including RGA London and AKQA on brands including Nike and Fiat and for large corporate clients including Officeworks as a CX Strategy Partner, Origin Future Energy, as an Innovation Design Consultant, and at ANZ as UX Director. He's also been involved in start-ups, ran his own design agency, and has had articles published by a popular Australian design publication. Neil has been a design and innovation industry mentor at RMIT University since 2020.

Before design, Neil briefly worked in law. He's worked over the years as a musician, as a junior soccer coach, and was co-founder of the Mount Eliza Soccer Academy.
